Chris Pratt is making a return to The Terminal List.
On Thursday, Aug. 20, Prime Video unveiled the first teaser trailer for the action-thriller series’ second season, which sees the return of Pratt, 47, as Navy SEAL Commander James Reece.
Arriving four years after season 1 aired, the new installment follows James on a “journey of violent redemption, finding a new purpose after finishing his list,” a statement from Prime Video reads.
“Before he was a fugitive, James Reece made a career out of putting terrorists in the dirt,” an official can be heard saying in the trailer. “He may be exactly what we need for this fight.”
James then learns he’s been granted a full pardon for his past crimes, seemingly to hop aboard a new mission. “We’re ready to give you your life back,” said Freddy Strain, a former SEAL and CIA officer.
But there’s another ironic layer to James’ new lease on life: He’s dying.
“I don’t want you taking chances just ‘cause you got one foot in the grave,” said Katie Buranek, a journalist who partnered with James on a previous mission. James responds, “Having one foot in the grave is exactly what we need.”

The Terminal List’s first season, based on Jack Carr’s bestselling novel, met James as he returns home from a mission that ended in a disastrous ambush, of which he has conflicting memories. Fueled by vengeance, James exacts retribution by systematically seeking out and killing those who played a role in the mission’s catastrophic end and the irreparable damage to his personal life.
Carr previously told PEOPLE in March 2025 that The Terminal List’s season 2 would make a major deviation from the plot of the second novel, True Believer.
“We can’t follow it because some things that I wrote about in the book actually came true [in real life], and in the book the character prevents them from happening,” Carr told PEOPLE.

“So there are some mandatory changes like that, and then there’s other ones because you have constraints obviously with time and all those other things,” he added.

Alongside Pratt, the second season stars Tom Hopper, Constance Wu, Dar Salim, Luke Hemsworth and Gabriel Luna. Taylor Kitsch starred in the spinoff series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf that debuted in 2025.
The Terminal List season 2 will debut all eight episodes on Prime Video on Oct. 21.

My Husband hide a key in our wedding album then his mother begged me not to use
My husband was unconscious in the emergency room when his mother grabbed my wrist and whispered, “Whatever you find in his wallet, don’t go to that house.” I stared at her. “What house?” Her face changed immediately. “I shouldn’t have said anything.” That was when the nurse returned Daniel’s belongings to me. His phone. His watch. His wedding ring.

Episode 8 — The Last Secret Eleanor Took to Her Grave
Richard had just told Michael that Arthur’s name had been removed from an old hospital record. For several seconds, Michael said nothing. Then he asked the only question that mattered. “Are you my father or not?” Richard looked away. “I told you. I believed I was.” “That isn’t an answer.” “It’s the only one I have.” Michael stood so quickly his chair scraped across the floor. “You let me come here thinking you knew.” “I thought I did.” “For forty-nine years?” Richard lowered his eyes

Episode 7 — The Secret Hidden in Michael’s Birth
Michael stared at the photograph for almost a minute. Laura. Eleanor. Arthur. Richard Vale. Four people standing in front of the Bennett house. On the back, Laura had written: Ask Eleanor why Richard paid the hospital. Michael finally looked at me. “You think Richard is my father.” “I think Laura wanted you to ask why he paid for something connected to your birth.” “That’s not the same thing.” “No.” “Then don’t say it like it is.” “I didn’t.” Rachel sat quietly across from us.

“The report says we’re related.” Daniel’s words stayed in my ear. I was still standing beside Lena at the bus station. “How related?” He didn’t answer. “Daniel.” “First cousins.” My stomach turned. Lena grabbed my arm. “That’s impossible.” Daniel heard her. “Apparently not.” “Read the laboratory name,” Lena said.

My Real Father Was the Reason Robert Took Daniel—And He’s Still Alive
Three seconds after Lena’s voicemail ended, Anna said, “I know who Claire’s father is.” Everyone turned toward her. I felt Daniel’s hand tighten around mine. “What did you say?” Anna didn’t look at me. She looked at Marianne. And Marianne suddenly looked terrified. “You promised me,” Marianne whispered. Anna shook her head. “No more promises.” I stepped between them. “You both know?” Marianne closed her eyes.
