Fox News Cuts Ties with Maria Bartiromo After 12 Years, Effective Immediately

Her last episode of Mornings with Maria aired on Fox Business Network hours before the announcement
Maria Bartiromo and Fox News have cut ties.
The longtime anchor, who has spent more than 12 years at network, appeared in her final episode of Mornings with Maria on Fox Business Network on Thursday, Sept. 3. Fox News Media shared the news of her exit hours later.
“We thank Maria for her work over the last 12½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,” Fox News Media said in a statement when announcing the news.
A press release read that the network “parts ways” with Bartiromo and that the change is “effective today,” though a reason for the exit was not given.

Beginning on Friday, Sept. 4, the Mornings with Maria program will transition into Mornings with FOX Business as it brings on a new slate of rotating anchors. Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street will be renamed FBN’s Wall Street and Cheryl Casone will host during its return with rotating anchors thereafter, according to Fox.

Additionally, Fox News Channel’s Sunday Morning Futures will now be hosted by Jason Chaffetz on Sunday, Sept. 6, with a new host announced at a later date.
The journalist first made a name for herself on CNBC, before leaving in 2013 for Fox.
