Cristiano Ronaldo is embracing his husband status with a new look.

Just days after quietly tying the knot with model Georgina Rodríguez in a civil ceremony on Aug. 11, 2026 in Cascais, Portugal, the 41-year-old athlete stepped out with a shocking blonde haircut, taking quite the turn from his usually dark-haired style.

Ronaldo, who is now rocking a brassy blonde hair color, appeared to debut the transformation while watching a soccer match with Rodríguez, 32, and their family in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Aug. 15.

Days later on Aug. 21, he was seen on the field with his fresh look during a Saudi Pro League match, and was photographed with the hairstyle again on Aug. 23 while appearing at the Esports World Cup closing ceremony in Paris, as seen in pictures shared to his Instagram.

For his wedding to Rodríguez, the soccer player had a more traditional hairstyle, pairing his natural hair color with a light beige cotton suit made by Gucci, a label the bride also wore in the form of a white silk skirt suit, in addition to more than 250 carats of Chopard diamonds. The couple fittingly wore the designer brand for their special day as a likely nod to their love story’s beginning, which took place at a Gucci store.

The pair, who share five children, announced their nuptials earlier this month with an Instagram photo of their wedding bands, before revealing the details of their intimate living room ceremony held at their home to Vogue.

“When I was a little girl, I dreamt of the biggest castle, the biggest carriage, the longest dress, a crown full of diamonds. And now I’m saying, ‘No. I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home.’ Because castles, houses, islands, horses, cars: We have all of that within reach every day. But something intimate — that’s more unusual for us,” Rodríguez told Vogue in an interview published on Aug. 16.

Even though they decided on a more private affair honoring their 10th anniversary, Ronaldo and Rodríguez still plan to have a second, “big” wedding to celebrate with their loved ones, per the outlet.

The pair announced their engagement on Aug. 11, 2025 with Rodríguez sharing a photo of her massive diamond engagement ring, which experts predicted could weigh as much as 37 carats and have a value of upwards of $5 million.

During an interview with Piers Morgan that November, Ronaldo revealed that he kept the proposal itself simple since he’s “not a very romantic guy.” And despite him picking out a sparkler grandeur in size, Ronaldo recalled that Rodríguez was more focused on the meaning behind his proposal than the rock attached to it.

“One thing that I love, she didn’t care about the ring. She asked me if I was honest [about wanting to get married] and I said, ‘I want you, and I want to marry you,’ ” he said.

Still, “she asked me for a ring to offer her because it was one of her dreams to have a good stone,” Ronaldo continued. “And I work hard, work hard ... and finally I find what she love.”
