Kelly Osbourne opened up about how devastating the loss of her dad Ozzy Osbourne was to her.
In a Monday, Aug. 31 interview with HELLO! Magazine, the actress and singer reflected on how her dad’s death in July 2025 at the age of 76 impacted her.
“I’ll never be the person I was before my father died… a part of me died, too,” Kelly, 41, told the outlet.

She noted that “everything is different” since the late rock icon died.
“I’m different,” Kelly said. “Everything has changed, but it’s just taking it one day at a time and putting the pieces back together in a way that you think will work.”
She added that in the days following his death, Ozzy “wasn’t put in any sort of morgue.”
“He came straight home and we got to spend a few days with him and mourn with him, and make sure that everything was the way we wanted it to be,” Kelly said.
The TV personality also addressed how instrumental fan support was to her in the early days following Ozzy’s death.
“It saved us,” she said. “Every note, every flower, every gift that was sent to us – we received, we read, we acknowledged, and the people we could find the time to write back to and thank, we did.”
Added Kelly: “It showed us that they loved him as much as he loved them. Because he really did.”

In July, Kelly honored the late Black Sabbath icon one year after his death with an emotional letter shared to Instagram.
“One year ago today, the world changed forever,” she wrote at the time. “Today I sit here beside you in a way I never thought would be possible. I know you are still with me. I feel you in the quiet, in the wind, in every song that stops me in my tracks, is the smell of your cologne and in every moment that love outweighs grief. You are all around me.”

She continued: “The hardest part isn’t that you’re gone. The hardest part is that I can’t touch you. I can’t hold your hand. I can’t wrap my arms around you or feel the safety that only you could give me.”
Kelly noted that she “always thought life was hard, but life without you has been the hardest thing I have ever had to endure.”
“You are my everything. My protector. My greatest teacher. My best friend. The apple of my eye. My reason,” she wrote.
Kelly added that now she’s left with the “beautiful memories” of Ozzy.
“Even through all the madness we lived through, you somehow made every moment worthwhile,” she said. “You taught me that love could exist in the simplest things.”
Kelly wrote that when it comes to her dad, “there will never be another you.”

“You carried something extraordinary inside you, a kind of magic that felt heaven- sent, and I will spend the rest of my life feeling grateful that I got to call you my daddy,” she said, noting she’s felt “broken” in many ways over the past year.
Kelly concluded: “Everything you warned me would happen, happened. But I want you to know that I listened. I did everything you told me to do, and I will continue to follow your words for the rest of my life. Your voice still guides me every day.”
