Post Malone proposed to Christy Lee with a massive engagement ring that could be worth up to $2 million.

The announcement was made via Lee’s friend Marina Hollyer’s Instagram Stories posted on Wednesday, Aug. 19. TMZ was first to report the news. Hollyer posted a photo of the couple hugging one another, as Lee showed off her new piece of jewelry, a veil and a “Bride to Be” sash.

In snaps shared by various friends to Instagram, the country singer, 31, and his bride-to-be embrace as Lee shows off her new sparkler, which appears to be a large oval-shaped diamond. Experts are estimating that the ring could contain up to 25 carats and be worth up to $2 million.

Olivia Landau, founder of The Clear Cut, now part of Blue Nile, weighed in on the diamond’s potential specs in a statement shared with PEOPLE.

“Christy Lee’s ring appears to be a 10-15 carat elongated oval set in a delicate split shank yellow gold ring,” Landau says. “The price is determined on the overall quality of the diamond, but I could predict that this ring cost $1 to $2 million.”

Landau notes that the bold diamond paired with an understated setting is in line with celebrity ring trends, like Madison Beer’s elongated cushion-cut ring and Kylie Jenner’s pear-shaped pinky ring.

Roy Albers, chief gemological officer at Worthy, estimates the diamond to contain approximately 18 to 25 carats and set on a yellow gold band “designed to maximize the size and beauty of the center diamond.”

“Oval and elongated cushion cuts are dominating the 2026 engagement scene with the perfect mix of timeless and modern design and the benefit of appearing even larger than they are,” Albers continues. “With the rise in popularity of lab grown diamonds, we’re seeing celebrities really step it up in terms of the size of natural diamonds they are selecting in an effort to differentiate their rings from the masses and emphasize rarity.”

He suggests that the ring could be valued between $885,000.00 and $1,795,000.00.

Katie Zimmerman, senior vice president of merchandising at Jared Jewelers and Diamonds Direct, says the diamond could be 15 to 17 carats or even larger.

“Based on the apparent size, I believe the ring could be valued between $1.5 million and $2 million,” she adds.

Zimmerman notes that the diamond could be an old mine cut, which has recently surged in popularity thanks to Taylor Swift’s engagement ring from Travis Kelce.
