White House Calls Rosie O’Donnell a ‘Nasty Woman’ and ‘Total Slob’ After She Jokes About Aide Natalie Harp on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

Rosie O’Donnell has gotten a response from the White House after her latest joke about President Donald Trump while guest-hosting ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

The comedian, who has been filling in for Jimmy Kimmel during part of his summer break, poked fun at President Donald Trump with a comment about White House aide Natalie Harp on Wednesday, Aug. 19

Rosie O’Donnell had a new message for President Donald Trump during her latest Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance, and the White House is chiming in.

On Wednesday, Aug. 19, the comedian opened her monologue as guest host with a “special hello” to a certain viewer in Washington, D.C. She then delivered some “bad news” for “President Petty Roosevelt.”

“That’s all I’m gonna say about you tonight, sweetheart,” O’Donnell said during her brief remarks, before joking about White House aide Natalie Harp. “You gotta realize it’s time to hang up your wig and let Natalie tuck you in.

In response to the comedian’s latest remarks about the president, White House spokesperson Davis Ingle tells PEOPLE in a statement: “Rosie O’Donnell is a nasty woman and a total slob whose brain has been completely destroyed by Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

The White House’s statement follows three days of O’Donnell’s guest stint on Kimmel, all of which have featured nods to the president. On Monday, O’Donnell waved to the president on air and referred to him as “Mango Mussolini.” On Tuesday she jokingly thanked Trump, 80, for attributing to her being “back in the spotlight,” during a monologue in which she called him “Oompa J. Loompa.”

Trump’s aide Harp, 35, has made headlines in recent weeks as Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff and reporters raised questions about her role in the White House. Most recently, New York Times White House correspondent Maggie Haberman described Harp as a “binky” and a “comfort blanket” for the president during an appearance on MS NOW on Sunday, Aug. 16.

As for O’Donnell — who has long been a target of verbal attacks by the president since the mid 2000s — her run on Jimmy Kimmel Live! has been a ratings success thus far. Ahead of O’Donnell’s final night subbing in for Kimmel (who remains on his annual summer break), LateNighter reported on Thursday, Aug. 20, that the fill-in host brought it 1.87 million total viewers on Monday, citing preliminary Nielsen Live+Same Day figures.

It reportedly marked the biggest audience for any Kimmel guest host this summer so far, as she followed the likes of Tiffany Haddish, Colman Domingo, Ike Barinholtz and Anthony Anderson. Her initial monologue, as of Aug. 20, has brought it over 2.6 million viewers on YouTube.

She previously told PEOPLE she was “happy” Kimmel asked her to pitch in. In her July PEOPLE cover, she broke down her dynamic with Trump and their publicly contentious history, calling it “very strange to have supposedly the most powerful man in the word be your arch nemesis” after “20 years of him using me as a punchline.”

“It used to be when our president would say things about me, it would be like, whoa,” she said. “First of all, if you had written this as a movie, a stand-up comic makes fun of a reality show host who is a bloviating idiot and he ends up being the president, and then he doesn’t shut up about her for 20 years, it would be unbelievable — and the fact that it’s my life is very trippy.”
