American Airlines is bringing on a new suite of in-flight snacks.
The airline announced on Wednesday, Aug. 26, that it will offer new complimentary snacks, including Tate’s Bake Shop cookies, on select flights starting in early October, per a press release.
The refreshed menu of complimentary snacks for main cabin guests includes different options at different flight times throughout the day.
Morning flights will still have Biscoff cookies, with the addition of Goldfish to the morning menu.
The Goldfish offering continues into later flights, and the airline will also now offer Tate’s Bake Shop chocolate chip cookies and Peterson’s savory and sweet snack mix.

The brand made an appearance in PEOPLE’s Food Awards 2026 with its White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies.
The delicate crispy treats studded with white-chocolate chips and roasted nuts wowed PEOPLE staffers in the Best New Snacks category.
Per an image in American Airlines’ release, the in-flight Tate’s cookie bags contain “tiny” Tate’s chocolate chip cookies.
Peterson’s savory and sweet snack mix contains seasoned pretzels, bagel chips and honey sesame sticks, per the release.
According to the airline, the new snacks “offer a wider variety of sweet and savory options to Main Cabin guests,” adding that they reflect “how customers snack throughout the day.”
The airline said the new menu marks that it is “refreshing its onboard experience.”
It added that the changes are a response to customer feedback and testing.

“Snacks will rotate over time as American actively listens to customer feedback and reacts to customer preferences, so flyers can look forward to more choices in 2027,” the airline said.
“Small details can make a meaningful difference in the travel experience, especially the familiar touches customers look forward to throughout their journey,” a spokesperson for the airline said of the new menu.
Per American’s website, the airline offers complimentary snacks for flights over 250 miles, including Biscoff cookies and pretzels.
PEOPLE reached out to Goldfish, Tate’s Bake Shop and Peterson’s Gourmet Nuts & Snacks for further comment.
Goldfish made headlines earlier this year by offering families a “snack tax” return.
On April 15, Tax Day, the brand offered a Goldfish Parent Tax Return. Families could receive a return of two free bags of crackers after filing their Goldfish taxes, answering questions about their household consumption of the crackers.

The move was “a playful way to pay back all those Goldfish that ‘mysteriously disappear,” the brand said in a release. “Parents everywhere know the deal: a handful of Goldfish here, a few ‘borrowed’ bites there.”
“Let’s be honest: those handfuls that parents sneak while packing lunches or grabbing from the backseat? They add up,” it added.
On May 19, Delta removed in-flight meals, snacks and drinks on flights under 349 miles in a move expected to affect about 450 daily flights.
“Delta is adjusting onboard beverage service to create a more consistent experience across our network,” a spokesperson for Delta told PEOPLE, noting that the change included “the exception of Delta First which always receives full service.”
They added, “Even on the small number of flights without beverage service, our crew will continue to be visible, available, and focused on caring for our customers, like they do on every flight.”
Delta stopped offering food or beverage services on flights less than 250 miles in 2015, before changing the service for flights under 349 miles to express service in 2017.

Daniel pushed the door open. “Ethan?” Nothing.
