Blake Lively is giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at her go-to beauty routine as a busy mom.

In a video shared to Instagram on Thursday, Aug. 20, the actress, 38, is seen applying makeup and styling her hair before rushing out the door — and nearly forgetting to button her pants.

“The look: no time but need to look cute while ALSO raising children,” Lively wrote over the clip as she swipes on some eye makeup before taking down her hair, which is pulled back into a bun.

“Moment of truth: bun out after running around the city,” the caption read.

She then used hairspray from her haircare line, Blake Brown, stating that she previously washed her hair with the brand’s Wild Nectar Santal Strengthening Shampoo and applied the Wild Nectar Santal Fundamental Nourishing Mask and All-in-Wonder Leave-In Potion.

The next step was dry shampoo “all over for a MEGA boost of volume, texture, major root lift and body that holds” before she curled small sections of the hair with a tapered curling iron.

Lively finished off her makeup look with pink lipstick, highlight on the inner corners of her eyes and white eyeliner in her waterline, and then she hand-combed out her curls.

Before the video ends, the star realizes she missed an important step. “Buttoning your pants is always a nice touch,” she wrote over the clip.

Lively launched Blake Brown in 2024. At the time, she told PEOPLE that her goal was to create “clean formulas with incredible performance.”

“There are a lot of great options out there, but nothing that was doing all the things that I wanted, which was clean formulas with incredible performance at a mass price point with a fragrance that I would spray on my body,” the It Ends with Us actress said. “I didn’t want to step into something that someone else had already created because I wanted to replicate the systems and the patterns that I already loved.”

In 2025, the brand launched three new hair and body mists, which Lively said was a direct response to customer requests.

“It was actually not something we intended to do,” she told PEOPLE at the time. “This was a response to our community going, ‘Please make fragrance.’ I was like, ‘It’s there, it’s already in the product.’ They were like, ‘No, I want to be able to refresh after the gym or throughout the day.’ People don’t bring their leave-in with them or their dry shampoo, so they just wanted to have that hair and body mist, which I understand. I mean, I’m the person that will just spray dry shampoo in the air and walk through it just because it smells so good. You’re probably not supposed to do that, but I just love the smell.”
