Blind Side’s Quinton Aaron Gives Update After Learning Wife Was Still Married to Another Man While He Was Hospitalized for Stroke

Quinton Aaron is giving an update on his marriage after revealing he’d learned his wife was still married to her first husband after he woke from a coma.

Back in April, the Blind Side star, 42, shared that after he woke up from a four-day coma following a spinal stroke in January, he learned that his then-wife Margarita DeLeon was still legally married to a man she’d married in 1992.

Now, Aaron shared that he hasn’t spoken to his estranged wife, whom he married in December 2024, since learning that she’d lied. The actor said he “absolutely” believed that DeLeon was divorced when they began dating.

“We would’ve never spoken if I knew she was married,” he told Us Weekly in a new interview. “I’m not the type of person that messes with married women. She kept telling me she was divorced for 10-plus years.”

After the news came out that DeLeon was still married, Aaron cut ties with his former partner. He shared he “needed to completely remove” DeLeon from his life and hasn’t spoken to her in months.

“[Not] since the day we went to the hospital,” explained Aaron. “There were times I remember seeing her in the room, but I was in and out of consciousness, and I didn’t speak to her because I was intubated.”

“I don’t need to speak to her ever again,” he added, sharing that technically, the former couple’s marriage was never actually legal in their state.
