Jeffrey Garten might have been the last to know about his wife’s new podcast!

Before Happy Hour with Ina Garten debuts on Sept. 16, Ina Garten shared a playful trailer for her new video podcast exclusively with PEOPLE. Standing in their New York City apartment, cocktail shaker in hand, Ina greets her husband with a casual “Hi, Babe.”

An inquisitive Jeffrey wonders what Ina is doing in the kitchen and she explains the premise of her latest project: “I’m inviting somebody to our apartment. We’re going to have a delicious drink and we’re going to sit and talk. It’s going to be really fun.”

“Where’s it gonna be?” he responds with slight alarm. Ina responds: “It’s going to be in our apartment. I didn’t tell you?”

Ina briefly runs it by him and — always the supportive husband — Jeffrey agrees. “If you wan’t to do it, it’s okay.”

“Right answer!” Ina says before the two celebrate with a bourbon sour cocktail inspired by the South of France. “Cheers to you for putting up with my podcast.”

“I hope the podcast is as good as this,” Jeffrey says of the drink.

Viewers of her longtime Food Network shows are used to seeing Ina and Jeffrey in their East Hampton, N.Y. home — but Happy Hour with Ina Garten will take them inside their impeccably-designed apartment in the Big Apple. The trailer also gives a look at the space.

“I’ve always thought the best part of a great dinner party is the conversation — the stories you find yourself lingering over and listening in on. That’s how I want Happy Hour to be,” Ina says in a press release. “I get to invite people I’m curious to know more about to my home and get to know them — how they got where they are, what makes them laugh, and what they’re still figuring out. I want Happy Hour to feel like you’re right there in the kitchen with us, having a drink and joining the conversation.”

Ina and Jeffrey met in 1964 at Dartmouth College while Jeffrey was a student and she was visiting her brother. They went through a little rough period when she was starting her career and wanted less traditional gender roles at home but worked it out — and have been in step ever since.

“We negotiated a different kind of relationship, which was more of a partnership,” Ina told PEOPLE in 2024. “He’s such a kind, supportive, positive and constantly kind of adoring guy that it’s just been wonderful.”

Happy Hour with Ina Garten drops its first episode on Sept. 16, and new episodes will follow weekly on Wednesdays.
