Influencer Madeleine White Claims Her Dog Died of Heat Exhaustion After Being Left with a Trainer While on Vacation

Influencer Madeleine White and her husband, Andrew Fedyk, claimed that their dog, Dunkin, died of heat exhaustion after the trainer they left him with took the pet to a park during a heat wave.

In their posts, the influencer and Loud Luxury DJ claimed that the pet’s death occurred after they left him with a Los Angeles-based dog training studio
The couple also claimed that Dunkin died of heat exhaustion while en route to a boarding facility after a trainer with the studio took him to the park during a heat wave
Influencer Madeleine White and her husband, Andrew Fedyk, revealed that their beloved 2-year-old dog, Dunkin, died after the couple left him with a dog trainer while heading out on vacation.
In social media posts shared on Wednesday, Aug. 26, Fedyk, who is one half of the DJ duo Loud Luxury, claimed they left their Bernese Mountain dogs with a Los Angeles-based training studio to get “basic leash training” to help prepare for the couple’s newborn baby, Juliette, as she gets older.

In his post, Fedyk claimed, “We received a call within 48 hours that Dunkin was supposedly taken to the park during an extreme heat wave, ‘showed signs of heat exhaustion’ in the car, and had passed away by the time they arrived at a boarding facility we were not informed they were ever being transferred to.”“He was never taken to a vet. They just decided he was dead and called me hours later. He never even had a chance to be saved,” he continued.
While speaking with local news outlet KTLA5, Fedyk said that the couple paid $10,000 for their two dogs to be boarded and trained for about four weeks, before claiming that he had received the call just 48 hours after dropping the dogs off that Dunkin had died.
In a statement to PEOPLE, the couple said that they were “devastated” by Dunkin’s death, and cautioned their audience to be “incredibly careful where you board your dogs.”

“We never want anyone to have to experience the call we received, especially from a company with 20+ years of experience,” the pair, who had been away on vacation when they learned of Dunkin’s death, continued.The “Body” performer added in his social media posts that he was “heartbroken” over the loss of the dog. In her own posts, White echoed her husband’s sentiments, writing that she didn’t have “words to express” how she was feeling. “We are absolutely broken,” she said.

PEOPLE has reached out to the studio for comment on the alleged incident, as well as representatives for Fedyk and White.

Online, both White and Fedyk frequently shared photos of their family’s dogs, including Dunkin and the couple’s other Bernese Mountain dog, Poutine.In June, White gave birth to the couple’s first child, Juliette July. After bringing the baby home from the hospital, White posted about how excited she was for the couple’s dogs to meet the newborn baby.
White, known for her lifestyle and fashion content, recently posted about the nursery redesign project she is working on for her daughter’s room. On social media, the influencer has shared updates on the nursery’s progress, including images of Dunkin and Poutine that she has painted on the walls.
